Cyber Hunter Review, Main Features, Gameplay and Video

Gameplay

Cyber Hunter starts by dropping players on a massive open-world environment and then leaving them to explore, build and hunt for resources as they vie to become the last player standing.

The game’s battle pans out on a 6km by 6km battlefield which is set in an exciting sci-fi universe. That’s a lot of terrain to explore therefore the developers gave players a number of ways to get around such as gliding through the air or driving across the terrain. Some of the vehicles can transform into flying machines or standard off-road vehicles at will.

The Windrider, for example, can turn into a plane while the Cerberus can transform from a fast-moving car into a powerful and well-armed mecha. You are given the option of swimming as well which allows players to attack each other from every conceivable angle. They can pounce on enemies from the depths of an ocean, bomb them from above or take them on directly from ground level.

Cyber Hunter rewards players with Quantum Cube Energy. This limited resource is used to enhance specific skill-sets which will aid you in battle. Quantum Droids can be used together with Quantum Cube Energy to build structures such as watchtowers to hide in, or spy drones to scout the area ahead for enemies.

Players are able to choose from five categories of weapons. These are SMGs, rifles, sniper rifles and throwables such as grenades.

Special attacks are available as well. You can use them together with weapon attacks for varying degrees of damage. You’ll need to experiment with different combinations of load-outs and special attacks to find the style that works best for you.

Weapon upgrades allow you to design weapons for specific purposes. For example, you can repurpose a rocket launcher to destroy buildings or redesign your so that it heals your teammates.

The Good

Players have a wide variety of weapon types and classes to choose from.

Everything is customizable including character looks such as ethnicity and hair. You can even change your avatar’s pupil color and facial shape. Once you have molded your avatar, you are able to choose what clothes they will wear and what paint is on their vehicles.

The versatility when it comes to traversing the terrain is a standout feature that sets Cyber Hunter for PC apart from other battle royale games.

The Bad

NetEase is taking a little too much pride in creating clones of original works. There is no telling how much longer this formula will work until they get into the sort of legal troubles that will shut them down for good.

Conclusion

Players are going to love Cyber Hunter. They are more concerned with how much fun the game is rather than any copyright issues and Cyber Hunter’s futuristic feel and advanced mobility are exactly what this genre needed.
